Sand sized colored glass tesserae all in place, smooth and flat. Shown is the "Temple of Minerva Medica", Rome, believed dating to the 4th century. but in fact might only be located on the site of that temple, this nymphaeum (in service to mythical nymphs) and was connected to the water supply.
