The detailed sketches include the Mayflower, the Flying Cloud, Eliza Adams Whaler and the Phineas Pendleton, as well as an excerpt from the poem "Sea fever" by John Masefield (18781967). Warren Boucher (1922 1999) was an artist from Rhode Island whose work included depictions of rural New England, maritime, portraits and war scenes. The towel measures 30" tall by 16. 5"
